The Tarot Series
The Tarot series is a collection of art pieces started in 2020, during the first lockdown of the global pandemic. This series is inspired by Original Characters from me Lyly Kanda and Reglisse Art.
The Tarot imagerie had been reinvented over the ages. From the original Tarot de Marseille imagery to cards inspired by movies and pop culture, the Tarot had evolved. Here are the depiction of the major Arcanes, inspired by my original characters as well as Reglisse Art original characters.
« Tarot » is a collection of pieces reinterpreting the major Arcanes from the tarot cards. The series is painted with watercolor, in a black and grey aesthetic, highlighted by a signe touch of colour.

The Fool The Fool is based on a wolf-greyhound mix, with crow wings and a yellow touch. A4 21x29,7cm size on Canson Illustration paper First price watercolour paint and Monali watercolour palette

The Devil The Devil, based on a wolf-dragon look, is using Christian religious images to refer to the concept of « Devil » in our modern societies. I decided to keep it graphic and incorporate some notions of modern interpretations of what is the« Devil ». The Tower The Tower, is the most negative card in the Tarot and I wanted to emphasise the danger and the absolute of this card. It is why there is no colour and the highlight is pure white. Some inspiration from the biblical angels could be found in the drawing. 17,8x25,4cm size on The Langton watercolour paper - Daler Rowney First price watercolour paint and Monali watercolour palette
